Partnering Opportunities
At Vireo Energy, we are actively seeking investment opportunities in the bioenergy area in Eastern, Central and Southern Europe. We are particularly interested in the areas of landfill gas and biogas projects based on municipal waste, food industry and other industrial organic waste and agricultural residues.
We can provide ‘full turnkey solutions’ working with our own technical partners and sources of financing, and are also open to joint venture and other partnering models.
As part of the Kinnevik Group, we have access to capital that allows us to build, own and operate the projects that we pursue. Thus we can meet the full set of needs of our partners.
In our markets we co-operate with the best regional renewable energy professionals in order to draw on existing local experience within the fields of law & regulation and permissioning & construction.
If you have access to such ‘substrates’, we are interested in talking to you regarding projects in these areas.

Technology neutral
Unlike most biogas developers we are ‘technology neutral’ and are not trying to sell our own equipment, but rather partner with the best international technology providers who are leaders in their field. In our experience there is no one size fits all, and we believe flexibility to adopt the best technology for a specific substrate or project configuration is a key strength. For example in landfill gas, our partners have over 20 years’ experience in building landfill gas installations, and have built more than 70 such installations in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Latvia, Poland and North Africa.
